A Founder's Perspective on Legal Counsel

ABOUT DSB LEGAL

After spending years in corporate law, Danielle realized most business owners weren't looking for another attorney.

They were looking for someone who understood what they were building.

Someone who could help them navigate decisions, solve problems, and protect the business they'd worked so hard to create.

That's exactly why DSB Legal exists.

Today, DSB Legal exists to support founders who want strategic legal guidance from someone who understands both the legal and operational side of building a business.

After stepping away from traditional corporate law, Danielle started a real estate investment company, and immersed herself in the wellness space, investing as an advisor/operator in a fitness studio that she partnered to expand to 4 locations in 5 years.

That experience changed the way she approached legal counsel entirely.

For the first time, she wasn’t simply advising businesses from the outside.

She understood firsthand:

  • the pressure of scaling
  • the complexity of partnerships
  • the operational decisions founders make daily
  • and the reality of balancing growth with sustainability

Danielle began her legal career practicing corporate law inside traditional “big law” firms, working on complex transactions, mergers, and corporate matters for large organizations.

And while the experience sharpened her legal expertise, something about the traditional legal model never fully aligned.

Over time, she became increasingly drawn toward founders — particularly women building intentional businesses within the wellness, fitness, and lifestyle industries.

Not just their businesses.

The people behind them.

The entrepreneurs balancing growth, family, teams, risk, opportunity, and the constant pressure that comes with building something from the ground up.

About DANIELLE

"

The businesses that scale well are usually the businesses built intentionally from the beginning."

The best legal strategy is proactive — not reactive.

At DSB Legal, legal counsel is designed to create clarity, confidence, and long-term stability for growing businesses.

That means approaching every contract, partnership, investment, and operational decision with both strategy and sustainability in mind.

The best legal relationships are built on trust, context, and understanding, not just paperwork. Because legal support shouldn’t feel intimidating or transactional.

It should feel like having the right person in your corner as your business evolves.

Behind  the Scenes

Danielle's understanding of founders isn't just professional, it's personal. Since becoming a mom to Carter, she's lived the same tension so many of her clients carry: building something ambitious while a small human needs you in the same breath.

Running 31 marathons taught her a lot about pacing herself through the long haul, and she brings that same steadiness to how she shows up for clients — present, in it for the long game, not just the sprint.

"Room for real life" isn't a tagline for her; it's the standard she holds every client relationship to, especially with the moms she works with who are building something of their own.
